Chalco Hills State Rec Area

Eastern Kingbird

This bird was perched all over Chalco Hills State Recreation Area.  Apparently it is a pretty common bird, but this was my first time seeing it.  He had lots of moxie...we saw him pestering a hawk later in the evening!

Rose-breasted Grosbeak

Barn Swallow

This is a common Barn Swallow, you see them everywhere around here, but they are hard to photograph, so when these to took to suntanning on the beach, I snapped a quick shot!

Mallard

One of the most common ducks in North America.
